ENTREPRENEUR

Josh Berger proactively immerses himself in the unknown to learn from new experiences, creating momentum for continuous growth.

From selling watermelon at camp at the age of 11 to sitting on the board of tech startup, ServeUs in 2018-2019, and eventually co-founding Venuewerks, entrepreneurship has always been at his core.

During the early days of COVID-19, Josh developed a prototype of a website, allowing tenants to list office space for subleases for a fraction of a typical commission. However, when the market’s leading real estate listing company unveiled a platform feature that enables companies to list subleases directly, Josh parted ways with his efforts and moved on to his next project.

Through cultivating relationships within his network of business partners, Josh was presented the opportunity to co-found Venuewerks.

While attending a Masonic event, Josh was approached by his eventual business partner to co-found Venuewerks, determining if it would be possible to secure a wall to project promotional messaging for an advertising client. As someone who attributes his career success to saying “yes” to new opportunities, when asked, "do you want to try it?", he was excited to get involved.

Josh secured a wall at the corner of Houston and Bowery by leveraging real estate data to identify the property owner, convincing him to authorize the advertising projection. The “Canada Goose" project was the first official campaign rolled out by Venuewerks in November of 2021. Canada Goose contracted Venuewerks to secure commercial real estate for advertising in Manhattan’s Union Square area, as well as in Cleveland and Chicago, which Josh negotiated and secured.

Since the launch of Venuewerks in October of 2021, Josh has negotiated real estate for projection advertising campaigns with prominent brands including Canada Goose, New Balance, Netflix, and Bumble.
